That was totally surreal.
I just got the call that I had to shut down my scope because fog was coming.
In order to shut down, I have to go outside, on the roof.
First, it was windy. That's always creepy.
Second, the sky is really quite nice and clear (poor seeing though), but as I watched, fog from below started rolling up the mountain and some came to block out the Moon! It was a sea of vapor that washed over the mountain. It was really so very cool. I think I'm the only person who got to see it too because no one else has to go outside to shut down...
Wow.
