That's not going to be pretty in the morning :(
Every Sunday I play softball with a team that redshirtedgradu and noangelshere hooked me up with :) It's slow pitch, co-ed and lots of fun!!

Tonight it was awesome :) I had THREE hits!!! In three at-bats! Woooo!
One was a blooper right over the shortstop's head and before the left-fielder. Totally awesome.
The second was super hard to the shortstop who bobbled it a little and I totally beat the throw.
Then the last one was a itty-bitty blooper that just barely stayed fair right in front of the plate. Man, I pounded that one out and I saw the first base chick move toward me so I knew that the pitcher was (very stupidly) throwing the ball. I shrunk as much as possible, making sure not to turn around to look (lest I get a ball right in the face).

THWAP!! Apparently it was a very loud slapping sound - that ball smacked right into the fleshy part of my left tricep, near my elbow. I remember thinking, "hunh, that kinda hurt but I'm so glad it didn't hit my elbow bones!!" It hurts and the bruise is going to be spectacular! Good thing I'm not doing a belly dancing performance soon... I wonder if any of the ball's stitching is going to show up in the bruise ;)

Thank goodness it's the left arm because:
a) I'm right-handed for the most part
b) my manual transmission would suck if I had to use this arm with it (it doesn't feel good even to hold the steering wheel steady right now)

Battle wounds!! I took one for the team!!! (oh, and I scored later that inning ;) ) (we won 14-6 :) )
